Websites Used During Research for My Marketing Campaign

I have used many websites for my research into the horror genre, film marketing campaigns, posters and trailers and I have included some of this information alongside images and video clips throughout my blog.

Some of the key websites I have used are:

Art of the Title

I used this site to get an idea of the different ways titles are presented, and the order that titles appear in.

DaFont

This is one of the sites I used to help choose the fonts for the titles in my TV spots and for my poster.

Font Meme

This was another site I used to find fonts for my marketing campaign.

Instagram

I looked at a number of options for my social media page, and decided to choose to create an Instagram account for the social media marketing my film.

IMDB

This site was useful for me finding cast and crew for the billing block/credits for my poster and at the end of my TV spots.

IMP Awards

I used this site to gather posters for my close textual analysis of poster conventions (both inside and outside of the horror genre).

Linotype

Another site used for researching fonts appropriate for my genre.

Soundcloud

I used Soundcloud to upload all the sound files onto the blog, including the voiceover for TV Spot 1, the non-diegetic music and sound effects for both of the TV spots.

Facebook

I considered using Facebook as part of my social media campaign, so researched the ways posts were presented for film releases.

Twitter

I also considered Twitter, before deciding to use Instagram.

YouTube

I uploaded my finished videos here, and also used YouTube to find the existing trailers I analysed.
