Advanced Production - Brief
For my coursework I am going to create a marketing campaign promoting an imaginary film from a specific genre.
The marketing materials will include two types of trailers for the film, alongside a poster and a social media page which promotes the movie. I will be aiming to create a sense of unity across each of these media products so that it is clear that they are advertising the same film.
Before I decide on the genre of film, I'm going to do some research into the basic conventions of trailers, posters and social media pages before looking at examples of each of theses from my chosen genre. I will record all of this research and planning on my blog.
Below is an example of a marketing campaign from an existing film, the recent Spiderman movie 'No Way Home', which includes a number of different trailers and posters alongside a website and social media links.
