Poster Drafts on Photoshop
I have included various drafts of my poster below.
First I made the background black by using the paint bucket tool. I added the film's title in Trajan font.
Next I added the tagline using the text tool.
I added the name of the director.
I added the release date, at the bottom of the poster where it is typically found.
I added social media links and a web address, using the ruler and grid tools to line everything up. I used PNGs of the twitter and facebook logos and inverted the colours so that were white.
Then I added my billing block which I had created earlier on Photoshop, using the steeltongs font. I also inverted the colour on this.
I added the sound logo and the production company logos, which I also inverted.
Then I added references to previous films, from the same genre, directed by my chosen director. I placed this at the top of the poster as this was where I had noticed it appearing during my research.
Then I added the first review. The stars were in pizzadudestars font.
I added the second review, lining it up with the ruler and grid tools.
Finally, I added the picture of the well. I had first put this in black and white, before adding a charcoal and chalk effect.
