Researching Music for My Horror Film

 

The style and types of music that I have noticed being used in some of the trailers from horror films that I have analysed, is pretty consistent. Sometimes there is pleasant music at the beginning, lulling the audience into a false sense of security. There is always, however, sinister, creepy and unsettling non-diegetic music alongside creepy impact sounds. I am going to listen to some existing soundtracks to get an idea of music I might want to use, and create a potential playlist on Spotify, before choosing my music.
